#JusticeForChima: Late Mechanic’s Apprentices Narrate How Their Boss Was Allegedly Tortured to Death

Apprentices of a motor mechanic, Chima Ikwunado, who died in the Police cell after being allegedly tortured to death have recounted their ordeal in the hands of the officers of the Eagle-Crack(A.K.A E-Crack) Police Mile 1 PHC Rivers State.

According to a narration of a car owner, who is one of Chima’s clients, the Police had arrested the mechanic with his apprentice while they were testing the cars they just repaired plying one-way.

On seeing over N100,000 0 on them during the arrest, the Police took them to their station, tied them and got tortured to confess to crimes they didn’t commit.

The Police Inspector General, Mohammed Adamu had ordered the arrest of the officers involved and the remaining three charged with robbery and cultism.

There have been several calls for the prosecution of the Police officers involved in the alleged torture to death of the mechanic whose wife is currently pregnant.
