Kanye West Donates $2 Million, Sets Up College Fund For George Floyd’s Six-Year-Old Daughter

American rapper, Kanye West has donated $2 million to support the families of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbrery, and Breonna Taylor following their deaths.

The 42-year-old billionaire who has stayed silent on social media amid the ongoing protests over George Floyd’s death also set up a college fund to cover the tuition for Floyd’s six-year-old daughter, Gianna Floyd.

A representative confirmed Kanye West’s contribution to CNN. He also offered to cover the legal fees for the families of Arbery and Taylor, and promised to financially support Black-owned businesses in his hometown of Chicago.

The news about his donations came after some critics on social media questioned the rapper’s silence online in the wake of Black Lives Matter.

Kanye West was also spotted in the streets of Chicago today as he joined people to protest against racism and police brutality.
