Kim Jong Un is ‘Alive And Well’ – South Korea says Amid Mounting Speculation
The South Korea Government has said that North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un is “alive and well.”
Speaking with CNN, top foreign policy adviser to South Korean President Moon Jae-in reacted to the mounting speculation about the health of the North Korean leader has been staying in the Worsan area..
“Our government position is firm. Kim Jong Un is alive and well. He has been staying in the Wonsan area since April 13. No suspicious movements have so far been detected.”

There have been questions about Kim’s well-being after he missed the celebration of his grandfather’s birthday on April 15.
North Korean state media, KCNA reports that he had been seen four days before that at a politburo meeting.
The United States government is also monitoring intelligence that Kim is “in grave danger after a surgery,”. According to a US official, the concerns about Kim’s health are credible, but their severity is hard to assess.
Daily NK, an online newspaper based in South Korea had reported that the North Korean leader reportedly received a cardiovascular procedure because of “excessive smoking, obesity, and overwork.”

According to the paper, Kim is now receiving treatment in a villa in Hyangsan County and most of the medical team treating him returned to Pyongyang on April 19 after assessing that his condition had improved.
North Korean state newspaper Rodong Sinmun on Sunday also reported that Kim sent thanks to workers who helped in remodelling the city of Samjiyon in North Korea.
