Kroos Extends Contract To 2023 Rubbishing United Links

Toni Kroos has put pen to paper at Real Madrid ending speculations linking him to a move to Manchester United. The new deal ties the German midfielder to the Bernabeu till 30th of June, 2023.

Kross joined the Los Blancos from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2014 and has since won 11 titles during his five years at the Bernabeu including three Champions League and one Laliga title.

The 29-yr-old will soon face the media following the announcement of the extension of his contract.

Even with Zinedine Zidane looking to overhaul the team, a contract extension means Kroos remains a vital part of the Frenchman’s  rebuilding process.

Kroos made a total of 43 appearances for the Los Blancos last term, finding the net just twice in all competitions.

Kross might just like his other teammates not have had a good season with the team finishing third on the Laliga standings.

Nevertheless, the German’s passing remained almost unerringly accurate with 93.2 percent of his passes completed as stated by Whoscored.com.

Added to that, the midfielder was Madrid’s top creator this season after making a combined total of 93 key passes in both the Laliga and chanpuons league competitions.

Kroos who turned 29 in January still has a lot of years ahead of him compared to other core players like Modric(33), Marcelo (33), Benzema (31), Gareth Bale (30 in July) and Sergio Ramos (33) and can therefore directly into Zidane’s plans.

Zidane will be hopeful that the midfielder can continue his top form and even perform better as the French gaffer looks to retain a perfect blend of experience and fresh legs in the team as he starts a rebuilding process.

The midfielder has competed the most passes, assists, chances created and second most tackles since 2016/2017 season.
