Kwara and Abia Governors make First Appointments

– Kwara and Abia State Governors, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak and Okezie Ikpeazu have made their first appointments 

According to a new report, the Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak has made his first appointments in his new administration in the state.

The report made it known that the new appointments comprises the Chief of Staff CoS, Secretary to the State Government SSG, and Chief Press Secretary CPS.

In the statement released by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary Agboola Olarewaju, he revealed the names of the new appointees as Aminu Adisa Logun as CoS, Mamman Saba Jibril as SSG and Rafiu Ajakaye as CPS.

A look at the records of the new appointees showed that Aminu Adisa Logun is a pioneer industrialist in Ilorin and an alumnus of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos.

Mamman Saba Jibril is the head of the Geography Department at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna.

While Rafiu Ajakaye is a Nigerian correspondent for Anadolu Agency, Turkish semi-official news medium and world’s fifth largest news agency.

In a similar report made public it was disclosed that the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has also made his first appointments.

The report disclosed that the new appointments include Justice Uche Ihediwa as the new Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, prior to his appointment, he was the commissioner for lands, survey and urban planing.

Eyinnaya Apollos, who served as Chief press secretary is returning as the special adviser to the governor on media.

Apart from these, other appointments made by the Abia State Governor include, Chris Ezem as Secretary to State Government, Onyebuchi Ememankah as Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, and Ngozi Ogbonna-Erondu as Special Adviser on Diaspora Matters.

A report also made it known that Governor Ikpeazu has sent the name of former commissioner of information John Okiyi Kalu to the Abia State House of Assembly for re-appointment.
