Latest COVID-19 Nigeria Update
Nigeria has recorded 132 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Lagos, the epicenter of the dreaded virus has 52 new cases while Gombe and Plateau have 27 and 17 cases.
Kwara state has 10, Enugu and Ogun recorded nine each; Katsina has 3, Ekiti recorded two while Bauchi, Osun, and Rivers state have one case each.

From 56,388 confirmed cases, 44,337 patients have been discharged while 1,083 deaths have so far been recorded.

Ondo and Edo gov elections: NCDC supports civil defenders
Meanwhile, the NCDC has supported the sensitization of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps personnel to be deployed for the upcoming elections in Edo and Ondo states.

The organization helped the corps on COVID-19 safety measures.
“We remain committed to working with government institutions to protect Nigerians from infectious disease threats,” it stated.
