Marvel Legend Stan Lee Is Dead!

Lee, the mastermind behind Marvel Comics, has died at the age of 95. His daughter J.C., who he is survived by, said an ambulance rushed to his Hollywood Hills home on Monday morning and he was taken to Cedar’s Sinai Medical Center, where he died.

He began his career in the comic business in 1939 and was the writer, editor, and publisher responsible for famous characters such as Black Panther, Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Mighty Thor, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk, Daredevil and Ant-Man, among numerous others. He was also known for his cameo appearances in the Marvel movies.

Eko Atlantic City refutes Davido’s claim, says he didn’t provide necessary information

Davido had on Tuesday taken to his Twitter handle @iam_ Davido to share swear words -laden tweets, alleging that he was denied approval to use the Eko Atlantic for his concert coming up in December.

Eko Atlantic City has termed false, the claim by Davido that the city refused to grant him approval to hold his upcoming concert in the city, due to his political affiliations.

Via their Twitter handle, @EkoAtlantic, the city revealed that they got Davido ’s request last Thursday, after which, they asked him to provide clarification and details about the event. Eko Atlantic added that they were yet to get a response to their request for details.

 

Angelique Kidjo Performs at WWI Armistice Centennial

Grammy award-winning singer, Angelique Kidjo, on Sunday, performed at the centenary anniversary of the end of the First World War in France. Kidjo performed a single, Blewu before world leaders at the Arc de Triomphe, in Paris.

The track was originally by the late Togolese music diva, Bella Bellow. Kidjo wore a long blue Ankara dress with a matching headgear for her performance. Some of the world leaders present at the anniversary were US president, Donald Trump, French President, Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, and others. On her verified Facebook page, Kidjo wrote, “Today Nov 11, 2018, I sang Bella Bellow ’s beautiful song “Blewu ” to celebrate peace and the memory of the fallen African soldiers of World War One in front of the leaders of this world under the Arc De Triomphe.

Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, and Gerrard Butler Lose Their Homes In California Fire 

The deadly wildfires ripping through California have forced hundreds of thousands of residents to evacuate, including some celebrities whose homes have been lost to the blazes.

Neil Young, Robin Thicke, Gerard Butler, and Miley Cyrus are among those whose houses were ravaged by the Woolsey fire raging north of Los Angeles in Southern California, according to the entertainers’ respective online posts. Butler posted a photo on Twitter of the charred remains of his Malibu home and thanked firefighters for their courage. Thicke posted a statement on Instagram thanking firefighters and volunteers who “risked their lives trying to save our home.”

Cyrus said on Twitter that she was “completely devastated” by the fires affecting her community. “I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong. I am grateful for all I have left. Sending so much love and gratitude to the firefighters and LA country Sheriff’s department! ”
