1. Twin Suicide Bomb Attacks In Borno State Kills 3 and Injures 45 Others.
Three persons have been killed and 45 other people have been confirmed to have been injured in a twin bomb attack carried out by suspected Boko Haram members in Maiduguri, Borno state on Sunday, April 7th.
Confirming the incident to journalists around the area is the Head of the Rapid Response Team of the Borno State Emergency Management Agency identified as Bello Dambatta.
Dambatta stated that two members of the civilian joint task force confronted the carriers of the Person Borne Improvised Explosive Device (PBIED) and made attempt to halt them, however, they were sadly killed alongside one civilian following the confrontation which took place.

4. Why We Lost The Election in Some States – The APC Explains.
The All Progressives Congress National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa Onilu has explained that the APC lost the election in some important states they previously governed because Nigerians were given the opportunity to vote for the preferred candidate in a free and fair election.
Onilu also stressed that since the 2019 elections was a success for the APC, it has further increased the confidence of the party in the forthcoming election.

5. JTF Destroys Militants’ Base in Niger-Delta.
The Joint Military Task Force (JTF) code-named “Operation Delta Safe” has revealed that the taskforce recorded significant achievement in the improvement of security in the Niger-Delta region.
The taskforce noted it had destroyed major militant camps and sent them away from their various hideout in the Niger Delta.
This was revealed by Rear Admiral Apochi Suleiman, the outgoing JTF Commander, on Sunday in Yenagoa, at the handing over ceremony of the mantle of leadership to the new Commander, Rear Admiral Akingide Akinrinade.

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Buba Galadima, has said he is not interested in an appointment in President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, saying he had been offered appointment by former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Umaru Musa Yaradua and turned them down.
In an exclusive interview with Vanguard, Galadinma who is a staunch critic of Buhari’s government expressed hope that PDP will sack Buhari in court. Galadinma also says his daughter ought to be appointed a minister.
7. Primary School Teacher Accused of Molesting Students, School Accused of Cover Up.
Instagram user @ adana_chelle , two days ago showcased pictures of a young man in whom she identified as Mr Adebayo Gbadebo. A teacher at Isolog Primary School in Ogun State.
She claimed this man raped and molested students within the age range 9 – 10 and was allowed to go scot free although the proprietress knew about his terrible acts.
The man in question was sacked by the head teacher of the school but no formal report was made to the police force or human rights agency. Instead @ adana_chelle wrote, “ the head teacher threatened the students and the staff of the school that if any should let words out about the incident to the parents whose children are involved, they will die, be expelled or fired.”
@adana_chelle further wrote that the school secretly administered antibiotics to the victims without proper tests or confirmation from their parents in order not to brew suspicions.
8. Helicopter Blade Chops off The Head of Air Chief Marshal In Borno State.
Air force officers who were in the thick of the action in the fight against insurgency simply put as Boko Haram members suffered a setback as the rotor of a helicopter killed an air chief marshal just identified as Umar.
An airman, who witnessed the tragic incident, informed journalist that it happened at Bama in Borno state yesterday evening, April 6 .
Reports has it that the aircraft was known to have developed a fault. The deceased, simply identified as Umar, who was the co-pilot, had gone to the pick his bags and on his way back into the helicopter, he passed through the side of the rotor which was functioning.

Following protest by different groups on the continued attacks on lives and properties of citizens by armed bandits in Zamfara State, President Muhammadu Buhari has instructed security agencies to double up on their efforts on the bandits in Zamfara.
President Muhammadu Buhari told the various security agencies in Nigeria to immediately provide more troops to Zamfara following the incessant killings of citizens by bandits.

12. Policeman Kills Middle Aged Man Whose Wife Is Heavily Pregnant
A police operative in the Rivers state police command has been accused of murdering a 29-year-old commercial bus driver identified as Stephen Udeh, whose wife is known to be heavily pregnant of a baby.
iDONSABI gathers that Stephen Udeh, the deceased, who hailed from Sagbama Local Council Area of Bayelsa and worked at Ekeki Motor Park in Yenagoa, the state capital, was shot and killed by a policeman along Ahoada axis of the East-West Road area of Rivers state on Thursday April 4th.
Further report has it that he was halted by a group of police officers who were conducting a stop and search exercise around the area.
13. 19 People Confirmed Dead and 38 Others Injured In Fatal Road Accident In Katsina.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has publicly confirmed that no fewer than 19 persons have died and 38 other persons were injured in a ghastly road accident on Daudawa-Funtua road in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State earlier on Friday, April 5 .
The FRSC Sector Commander in Katsina state identified as Godwin Ngeuku, made the confirmation to newsmen on Friday afternoon in Katsina state.
Godwin Ngeuku stated that the tragic incident happened on Friday morning at Daudawa, few kilometres to Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State involving a Mitsubishi vehicle.
The FRSC sector commander in Katsina state revealed that the driver lost control of the vehicle while speeding, skidded off the road, somersaulted and killed some passengers on the spot.

15. Saudia Arabia responds to the allegations of the Nigerian Government.
Responding to the allegations by the Nigerian Government of executing a Nigerian woman without considering due legal rights and procedures, the Royal Embassy of Saudia Arabia has responded that all due legal and judicial procedures were followed before the execution of the Nigerian woman.
According to the embassy, The Nigerian woman, was given all legal rights before the death sentence was carried out on her.
