Buhari Signs 2019 Appropriation Bill Into Law
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday signed the N8.91tn 2019 Appropriation Bill into law.
The president assented to the bill in the presence of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, Danjuma Goje; the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo-Udoma; and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Ita Enang and other government officials.
After the form was delivered to him by the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Prof Muhammad Isa, the president promised to fill and submit it without much delay.
The Presidency has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has rejected a large number of bills because he has to analyse such documents closely so that he will not sign stupid bills into law.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, who stated this on Monday accused the 8th Assembly of frustrating Buhari especially in the area of delaying the passage of the budget in 2018.
