Buhari sworn in for Second Term

President Muhammadu Buhari was sworn in for his second term as the President of Nigeria at the Eagles Square in Abuja today.

The oath-taking was administered by the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mohammed Tankov at around 10:42 am.

Nigeria Would Have Been Prosperous If Our Resources Were Properly Managed – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has said the current level of poverty and insecurity being experienced across the country is due to decades of neglect and resource mismanagement by past administrations.

Buhari who stated that if assets and resources available to Nigeria were properly managed, the country would be prosperous and peaceful.

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has congratulated President Mohammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on their inauguration for a second term today, saying he is convinced that Nigeria will witness a higher level of development and prosperity in the next four years.

While congratulating his colleague-governors, both returning and newly elected, who are being inaugurated today in 29 states of the federation, Fayemi described today’s inauguration as a positive development and a demonstration of the collective wishes of the Nigerian people for the entrenchment of democracy in the country.
