The COVID-19 infection in Nigeria appears to be declining after recording 79 new cases in the last 24 hours.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control revealed on its websites that Lagos, the epicenter of the dreaded virus recorded 30 new cases while Kaduna and Ogun recorded 17 and 7 respectively.
Others are Anambra-5, Kano-4, Katsina, FCT, and Akwa Ibom have three cases each. Also, Oyo and Rivers states have two cases each while Delta, Plateau, and Ondo state recorded one.
Out of 56,256 confirmed cases, 44,152 patients have been discharged. Also, 1,082 deaths have been recorded so far.

Meanwhile, the NCDC has said reopening the economy gradually doesn’t mean that the fight against the dreaded virus is over.
“Phase 3 ease of the lockdown does not mean that the #COVID19 outbreak is over. Please #TakeResponsibility as guidelines are updated to protect yourself & loved ones by; Wearing a face mask, Adhering to guidelines for public spaces, Avoiding bars, schools & clubs,” the government agency tweeted.
