Latest Update on COVID-19 Nigeria
The death toll from COVID-19 is about to hit 1000.
This is based on the latest figures of new confirmed cases released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). According to the government agency, Nigeria now has 340 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
Kaduna top the list with 63, followed by FCT with 51. Others are Plateau-38, Lagos-33, Delta-25, Gombe-21, Adamawa-21, Edo-20, Katsina-17, Akwa Ibom-11, Ekiti-10, Rivers-9, Ondo-5, Ebonyi-4, Cross River-3, Ogun-3, Sokoto, Imo and Nasarawa have two cases each.
Nigeria now has 51,304 confirmed cases of the dreaded virus while 37,885 patients have been discharged. The death toll has reached 996, four short of a thousand.

NCDC visits schools to measure compliance with COVID-19 guidelines
Meanwhile, the NCDC monitoring team has visited some schools in Kogi State to measure the level of compliance with COVID-19 guidelines for the reopening of the institutions,
