Liverpool Vs Watford EPL 27 February Preview

Liverpool will be hoping to maintain their stance atop the Premier League table when they host Watford at Anfield as a loss could ultimately lead to the Reds bottling the league and tainting their title hopes.

Liverpool

Liverpool may still be at the top of the league but four draws in their last five games doesn’t look like the Reds are in the best of shape.

They have whittled a seven point lead and are only one point ahead of Manchester City at the moment and at this point have no margin to leave for error.

That said, they are the only Premier League side who remain unbeaten at home in the league. Added to that, they have lost only one game all season and that was away to no other than title-winning Manchester City.

They therefore deserve all the praises and the favourite tag going into this fixture.

Watford

Watford are just coming off the back of their biggest win, a 5-1 mauling of relegation-threatened Cardiff City where Gerard Deulofeu recorded the very first hat trick of his career.

While it may look like  Watford are having their best run of form following their three-match winning streak, it is worthy of note to realize that they will be tasked with facing table toppers, Liverpool who might look off-color at the moment but are formidable and unbeaten at home rather than the kind of opposition they found in lowly Cardiff.

That said, Javi Garcia’s side have lost just once in their last 10 outings and deserve some respect.
