LQTBQ Apology: “The Timing Of My Wife’s Apology Was Pure Coincidence” – Adekunle Gold Clarifies

Nigerian singer, Simi made an apology to the LGTBQ community over the homophobic comments she made some months ago on her show, Stoopid Sessions.

In the apology, the singer explained that she has now realized she was wrong although she didn’t feel that way at first. She also added that as a woman, she understands discrimination and is sorry about hurting a community with her statement.

Shortly after the apology, some Twitter users dug up Quazar (a magazine that celebrates Queer creatives) had just covered her husband, Adekunle Gold. Many quickly came to the conclusion that Simi’s apology was insincere was and done for selfish reasons.

However, Adekunle Gold in a statement explained that the timing of his wife’s apology was coincidental.
