Man Arrested For Attempting To Steal Uber Car
The Lagos state police command, today, have apprehended Ogundoju Olalekan for making an attempt to steal the car of an Uber driver in the Maroko axis of the state.
A statement from the Lagos state police command’s spokesperson identified to be Chike Oti, stated that the Anti-crime patrol team of Maroko Police Station in Lagos state led by the Divisional Police Officer identified also to be CSP Isah Abdulmajid, were on crime prevention patrol and raid when they came across one Ogadinma Ikeagu, crying for assistance.
The crying Ogadinma Ikeagu explained that his Toyota Corolla saloon car, that has a registration number KJA 69 FE, had just been snatched by two passengers he picked at the African Shrine.
The DPO then carried the driver in his patrol vehicle and they drove in the same direction taken by the thieves who were escaping and running away with the car.
However, the distressed Uber Driver met his luck as the Lagos State Police Command were able to intercept and get hold of the car which has been stolen by Ogundoju Olalekan within Victoria Island.
Unfortunately, one of the thieves tried his luck to escape and he did escape. For Ogundoju Olalekan who resides at No 14, Shomorin street, Ifako Gbagada, he was not as lucky as his accomplice as he was apprehended by the Lagos state police command.

At the aftermath of being apprehended by the Lagos state police command, he was instantly searched all over his body and two wooden prototypes of berretta pistols were retrieved from him after the search.
When Ogundoju Olalekan was finally interrogated by the Lagos state police command, he then confessed to having committed the crime which is punishable by law.
Ogundoju Olalekan, will, therefore, be charged for attempting to steal a car of an Uber driver in the court soon.
