Man Inserts Hot Iron into Son’s Anus for Being Gay

A high-ranking member of the Borno State government has been arrested by the Borno State Police Command for allegedly inserting hot Iron into the anus of his 10-year-old son at their Maiduguri residence.

Mr. Shettima Gulumbali, who is the Director of Planning and Statistics in the state’s Ministry of Animal and Forestry, was arrested for allegedly carrying out inhumane treatment on a minor, who coincidentally is his biological son.

Prior to his arrest, Mr. Gulumbali, claimed that his son had been engaging in homosexuality with a number of politicians in Maiduguri metropolis.

However, a neighbor of the suspect, Mr. Aminu Isa, revealed that: “Gulumbali has been abusing his children with threats and physical torture. He is fond of flogging and tying his children for several hours without food or water. He also threatened once to disown his son and divorce the child’s mother.”

Mr. Gulumbali, however, dismissed the allegations leveled against him by his neighbors.

Report say, the victim was bound hands and foot before his father allegedly inserted the electric hot iron into his anus. Mr. Gulumbali is also accused of denying his children Western education.

Recently, it was alleged that Mr. Gulumbali had chained and violently flogged one of his daughters for insulting her stepmother at the Housing Estate.

One government official, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed Mr. Gulumbali’s arrest. However, efforts to reach the Police Public Relations Officer of the state, Mr. Victor Isuku, to confirm the incident abortive.

A few residents of the estate, insisted that there have been an increased level of homosexual activities during and after the 2015 general elections in Borno.
