Man Loses N200,000 Job After Addressing His Employer As ‘Uncle’

A man allegedly lost a 200,000 paying job even though he was the most qualified for the post because he referred to the employer as “uncle.”

According to Nigerian journalist, Kemi Olunloyo who shared the incident on Twitter, the man was the best qualified candidate for the job, however he lost the job after he called the employer (Kemi Olunloyo’s brother) uncle during the interview.

She wrote;

“A man lost a N200K per month job at my brother’s company in Lekki. He was the best qualified candidate. He lost the opportunity simply because he called my brother “Uncle” during the interview.

The journalist advised; “Stop addressing people with titles you feel comfortable with. RESPECT.”
