Manchester United Vs Brighton – EPL January 19 Preview

Manchester United will host Brighton and Hove Albion at the Old Trafford. Solksjaer will be licking his lips at the thought of his side securing their seventh consecutive win in all competitions. But in any case, three points all boils down to what is played on the field of play.

Manchester United

Solksjaer has ticked all the right boxes available for a Man United manager. ‘The ‘Baby-faced assassin’ has injected into the team the attacking flair and mentality the United team under Ferguson possessed. Whatever formula the Norwegian gaffer is using is definitely performing far above any one could realistically imagine.

The red devils have created chances for fun. Pogba and Rashford have been particularly impressive. Everybody seems to be finding their feet once again with De Gea making a total of 11 saves in their last outing – something he didn’t come close to doing in the early half of the season.

The red devils will be looking at the prospect of recording their seventh consecutive win in all competitions and most importantly edge closer to Chelsea in fourth place.

Brighton and Hove Albion

Brighton have lacked the spark needed in front of goal. That was once again evident in the match against Liverpool where they couldn’t manage a goal in front of their home fans.

Nevertheless, that wouldn’t bother Hughton as the Brighton gaffer will prefer to concentrate more on ‘winnable games’. Brighton have managed to squeeze out five points on a run of tough fixtures that has seen them play Arsenal, Everton, West Ham, Liverpool.

Although, Hughton’s men have proven they can’t be overhauled on the road with the side conceding only three goals at Anfield and Etihad. They will however be wary of facing a rejuvenated United side.
