Many Feared Dead As Hoodlums Attacked Rabiu Kwankwaso’s Convoy In Kano State

The convoy of an ex-governor of Kano State and leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state identified as Rabiu Kwankwaso, has been attacked in Kofa village in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State by hoodlums on Thursday, February 21st.

iDONSABI gathers that scores of party supporters from either side of the camps were killed, and several other people sustained injuries of a different kind.

Mr Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano state and the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had previously planned his final together with the PDP governorship candidate identified as Abba Yusuf.

The final rally with Rabiu Kwankwaso and Abba Yusuf was to be held at Kiru and Bebeji today, February 21st, but the long motorcade of the party leader was denied passage through Kofa village as they were attacked by political thugs.

According to reports, the incident occurred when thugs suspected to be politically motivated allegedly loyal to a member representing Kiru/Bebeji Constituency identified as Abdulmumin Jibrin, barricaded the road, resulting in a bloody clash.

Some sources have also gathered that at least 10 vehicles have been burnt to ashes during the clash which involved the political thugs and as well the former governor of Kano state, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

The spokesman for Kano Police Command identified as Abdullahi Haruna, has come out publicly to confirm the incident, stressing that the Kano State Police Command had immediately sent out its operatives to bring the situation under control in Kofa village in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State.

According to the Spokesman for the Kano State Police Command, Abdullahi Haruna, he also confirmed that the police are yet to ascertain the correct number of people that lost their lives during the clash.
