Meet Fayemi’s Aide, Makinde Araoye who appointed 62 Aides

  • Araoye says PAs are to support the good work of Governor Kayode Fayemi.
  • Araoye lost the  Ekiti south federal constituency seat to Adaramodu.

The special adviser on federal matters Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state,  Makinde Araoye, has announced the appointment of 62 personal assistants.

According to Araoye, the decision was taken to support Fayemi’s administration.

TheCable reports that the 62 persons whose appointment were announced on Sunday were selected across all the wards in Ekiti south federal constituency, and they have been paid their first salary.

“The 62 personal assistants appointed today are not for Makinde Araoye, they are to support the government of Governor Kayode Fayemi,” he said at the ceremony.

He further stated that he is sharing his salary to the PAs whom he described as the ambassadors of John Kayode Fayemi (JKF) in the Ekiti south federal constituency

“They are to defend the government of Dr Kayode Fayemi. I didn’t appoint them to start singing praises of Makinde Araoye but to support the good work of Governor Kayode Fayemi,” he added.

While stating that the appointment is neither for political gain nor for personal aspiration, Araoye explained that he is not contesting for any political office.

“This is not for any political gain, I’m not contesting for any position. Presently, I’m the special adviser on federal matters to the governor, so I am not contesting for any position,” he said.

“They are appointed to support APC and the government of Kayode Fayemi.”

It could be recalled that Araoye lost the primary election for the post of House of Reps member of Ekiti south federal constituency to his fellow All Progressives Congress (APC) member, Yemi Adaramodu.
