Middle-Aged Man Apprehended For Stabbing His Mother To Death In Nasarawa State
A 25-year-old man identified as Michael Habila, has been apprehended by Police operatives of the Nasarawa state police command after it was alleged that he stabbed his mother identified as Esther, to death in Tudun Gwandara community, Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa state.
The middle-aged man, Mr. Habila, who attacked his mother for reasons yet unknown in their family compound at about 8 pm on Wednesday, January 30th, just sometime after taking her bath and was heading to her room to dress up for the night rest.

Ismaila Usman identified to be the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who also confirmed the incident on Thursday in Lafia, stated that
“it was on 30th January 2019 at 10:00 hour, where our men on patrol were called upon to rescue one Michel Habila from a mob whom they said he had a misunderstanding with his mother and stabbed her to death”.
“Our men rushed her to the hospital where she later died while her son was taken to B division”.
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Ismaila Usman, he stated that investigation is currently going on in order for the Police to unravel the root cause of the incident before the taking him, Mr. Micheal Habula, to court for prosecution on the charge of murder.
A lot of information that has been compiled together, however, has revealed that the accused, Michel Habila has been harassing people around on several occasions with a knife whenever he was under the influence of drugs which he takes.
Basically, if he was to be charged to court after the investigations have been concluded, he would be charged to court on the basis of murder and on the basis of taking illicit drugs.
