Ministers Given Deadline to Submit Report
President Muhammadu Buhari has given cabinet minister till April 24, 2019 to submit a comprehensive “status reports on policies, programmes and projects” on their respective ministries, departments, and agencies as his first term tenure winds down.
A stqatement released by Malam Garba Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, disclosed in Abuja on Wednesday, the president gave the deadline for the submission of the reports to the Presidential Audit Committee in the office of the Vice President.

He noted that a circular to the effect was issued by Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) which also requested members of the Federal Executive Council to “ensure that all outstanding memoranda they intend to present to the Federal Executive Council are submitted to the Cabinet Affairs Office, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, not later than Tuesday, 30th April 2019.
The statement also quoted the circular as informing members that the “9th and 10th meetings of the Council have been rescheduled to Thursday, 25th April and Thursday, 2nd May 2019 respectively” in view of the Easter break and May Day celebrations.
And the second term begins
President Buhari will begin his second term come May 29, 2019 after getting reelected in the Frbuary 23, 2019 presidential election defeating his closest rival, Atiku Abubakar, who contested under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Haven been declared winner of the poll by the number one electoral officer, the chariman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmmod Yakubu, President Buahri has said his next term agenda is to consolidate on his electoral promise; which is revamping economy, fighting corruption and maintaining a secured country.

Meanwhile, Atiku is contesting Buhari’s reelection, alleging that INEC’s server showed that he won the poll by over a milluion votes.
