According to a statement released by NANS National Public Relations Officer PRO, Mr. Bestman Okereafor in Enugu state, today, he disclosed that the group frown on the late announcement of the postponed election but it believe INEC made the decision in the best interest of Nigerians.

Okereafor said: “Even though we frown at the manner and timing of the announcement of the postponement, we still consider the decision to be in the best interest of Nigerians.

“It is a reality that the postponement of the elections by INEC has in a great way exposed the faces of betrayals and which we expect political parties to be grateful for.’’

NANS noted that this is not the first time election will be postponed in the country as it was also postponed back in 2015 under former INEC Chairman, Prof Atthairu Jega.

The body also called on Nigerian students to remain calm as the country prepares for the rescheduled election.
