Ndidi, Musa, Shine as Leicester Progress in FA Cup

Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi both produced stellar performances as Leicester beat Everton 2-1 at Goodison Park to progress to the FA cup fourth round. Ahmed Musa showed his manager, Claudio Ranieri, why he deserves to play more for the Foxes, as he scored a brace to help Leicester City come from behind to defeat Everton at Goodison Park.

Leicester new signing, Wilfred Ndidi, was also on the team, and he produced some dazzling displays to help the reigning Premier League Champions progress in the FA cup.

Ahmed Musa who have so far been limited to cameo appearances for the Leicester-based team, scored twice to help City to the victory. Musa’s two goals took his goal tally to four goals in all competitions.

Ndidi on the other hand, who joined Leicester, less than 72hours ago, made a debut to remember, as he was a rock in Leicesters midfield for the entire duration of the game.

In his post-match conference, Leicester City manager, Claudio Ranieri said of the Nigerian duo:

“Musa was excellent. I’ve watched him recently and think he is starting to understand English football better,”

“Very pleased. We made a good match against a big team we lost to at home. I loved our reaction to conceding a goal.”

“Ndidi only trained two days with us, but he showed strong character and personality. A great performance,” said Ranieri.

The FA cup trophy is one of the hugely contested competitions in English football.
