1. Ali Nuhu Declares Kannywood Actress as His Organisation’s “First Lady”
Ali Nuhu in an Instagram post said that Kannywood actress Nafisat Abdullahi is the “First Lady” of his film production company, FKD Production.
This he said was because of her acting prowess.
He wrote “The true definition of a first lady is a lady who stands out. She evolved from being the ‘little girl next door’ to dominate, having the highest number of Best Actress Awards in a competitive category in Kannywood”.
2. Man Makes N200,000 Monthly from Charcoal Business
The 29-year-old Yusuf Adamu on Friday said he makes an average sale of N200,000 monthly from charcoal business in Kaduna.
Adamu who is a father to three children and a resident of Rigasa, Kaduna revealed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that he started the business with only three sacks of charcoal sold at N4, 500.
In his words, “I started three years ago with zero capital; I collected three sacks from the dealers and pay them after sale in which I deduct and save the profit”.
Adamu who said he started the business by the road side, but now owns a shop and buys 10 to 15 bags of charcoal.
3.Lagos Commissioner of Police Redeployed, Another Takes Over
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, has been removed.
He has been replaced by Mr. Kayode Egbetokun, who is in acting capacity.
Imohimi is expected to resume as the Commissioner of Police in charge of Explosive Ordinance Unit at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Edgal Imohimi assumed office as Lagos CP on August 31, 2017. Before then, he was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations in Lagos State.
4. 2019 Election, About Survival of Nigeria – Obi
The VP Candidate of the PDP, Mr Peter Obi, has said that the 2019 election is all about the survival of Nigeria.
He said that the contest was not essentially about the party’s Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and President Muhammadu Buhari.
Obi said this on Sunday during an interview with newsmen at Amichi in Nnewi South LGA of Anambra State.
On the state of the nation under the three-and-half-year rule of the APC Buhari, he said that Buhari had shown the lack of capacity to govern Nigeria.
He cited the numerous economic and security challenges facing Nigeria since the inception of President Buhari’s administration.
5. For Lagos to Become a Mega City, We Need New Ideas —Jimi Agbaje
The governorship candidate of the PDP, Jimi Agbaje, has said that if Lagos must achieve its dream of becoming a mega city, the state needs new ideas.
Agbaje spoke on Sunday during a governorship debate held by The Platform aired on Channels TV.
In his words, “I am passionate about Lagos. I know we can do things right. I am a pharmacist and I began at the age of 27 and that is why I believe in the young ones and what they can do”.
“On the political front, I believe we need to achieve the mega city dream differently. We need fresh ideas and fresh initiatives.”
6. President Buhari Still a Poor Man – Campaign DG
Johnson Podar, Mobilization Director of the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO), has claimed that Nigeria’s masses were “crazy’’ about President Muhammadu Buhari because he abhors riches and has remained poor even after serving as governor, minister, military head of state, PTF Chairman, and even now that he is President.
He also said Nigerians love President Buhari because he was laying a solid foundation toward a glorious future for country.
7. Atiku Promises to Walk the Talk on Restructuring Nigeria
The PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar on Sunday promised to walk the talk on restructuring, saying he remains the only Nigerian committed to devolution of power as being clamoured for by some leaders in the country.
Atiku also promised to banish what he termed pervasive hunger and create massive employment for the teaming Nigerian youth.
Atiku was represented by his wife, Titi Abubakar spoke on Sunday at the 14th Annual Thanksgiving and Memorial Service organized by former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
8. Police Dismisses Saraki, Say His Family, House, Life are Safe
The Nigerian Police has on Sunday lambasted senate president Bukola Saraki over his statement that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris was after his life.
DCP Jimoh Moshood, Force Public Relations Officer, Police stated that the force did not give any protection to any political thug to vandalize the family quarters of the Senate President in Agbaji, Ilorin, Kwara State.
The force equally maintained that it did not receive any complaint or report of gunshot and wounding as being reported in the news media.
Recall that Saraki had on Friday called on Nigerians and the international community to hold IGP responsible if anything untoward should happen to him or any member of his family.
9. Police Intercept 34,865 live Cartridges Headed for Onitsha
The Police in Ogun State on Saturday paraded three suspects who was caught smuggling 34, 865 live cartridges from the Republic of Togo into Nigeria through Ogun border.
The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Ahmed Iliyasu, revealed that the ammunitions were heading towards Onitsha in Anambra State before it was intercepted.
He said the suspects – Isa Muhammad, 36, a Togolese, and two Nigerians; Alabi Fayemi, 25, and the driver, Seyi Bamgbose 38, attempted to bribe his men with money after their arrest.

Nigerian rapper, Falz “The Bahd Guy” has released a new video for the year.
This is coming after his controversial ‘This is Nigeria’ video. Now, he is back with another controversial video titled ‘Talk’.
The Bahd Guy of Sweet Boys Association is all but sweet on ‘Talk’ as he tackles pastors and politicians on the current state of affairs of the country.
The video for ‘Talk’ is video game themed with Falz taking swipes at politicians and pastors. ‘Talk’ is from Falz’ upcoming album ‘Moral Instruction’.
