I Was Hypnotised To Steal Pants, Underwear

Men of the Ondo State Police Command on Wednesday paraded a 25-year-old man, Ojonugwa Adajoh who was arrested for allegedly stealing pants belonging to his brother wife and his sister for money rituals.

The suspect who was arrested in Uso town, Owo Local Government Area of the state, confessed to the crime and was arrested alongside with a Prophet of a Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), Prophet Olajide Ogunleye.

According to Adajoh, he approached the Celestial Prophet, Ogunleye, for money ritual who asked him to go and look for pants and ladies underwears.

He, however, said the Prophet gave him a contortion which hypnotised him and could not remember what he was doing before he was nabbed for the crime.


Mother Of Quintuplet Dies After Delivery In Asaba

Head, Clinical Services and Training, Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba, Dr Emmanuel Ezunu, has confirmed the death of a housewife who died 15 hours after she was delivered of a set of quintuplet.

Ezunu who made the confirmation to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Asaba, said Mrs Chukwunonso Onyejekwe, 29, died of complications after delivery.


No Name Of Dead Judge On Election Petition Tribunal List ― Appeal Court

The President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachua has denied reports that names of ten dead Judges featured in the list of the 250 Judges sworn-in last Saturday as Chairmen and Members of the Election Petition Tribunal.

A statement by the Media officer of the Court of Appeal, Mrs Sa’adatu Musa Kachalla said, there was no name of a dead or retired Judge on the list sent to the Supreme Court for the swearing-in ceremony performed by the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammed.


10,000 PDP Supporters To Receive Ihedioha In Oguta Friday

No fewer than 10,000 supporters and eligible voters from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be at hand to welcome the party’s governorship candidate and former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Emeka Ihedioha, as he visits Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, on Friday.

The PDP deputy governorship candidate in Imo State, Honourable Gerald Irona, made the disclosure in a press release issued on Wednesday by his communication adviser, Dr Walter Duru.


Nasarawa College Of Education Matriculates 4,200 Students

The College of Education (COE), Akwanga has formally matriculated four thousand, two hundred students (4,200) into the 2018/2019 academic session.

Provost of the College, Dr Rebecca Isaac gave the figure during the matriculation ceremony of the students of the institution, saying “out of so many who applied, and over seven thousand screened during the last post UTME screening exercise, only four thousand, two hundred were admitted, which are today (yesterday) been matriculated.”


How We Are Tracking FG’s Disbursement Of $322.5 Abacha ― Group

An Anti-corruption network organisation, Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice (ANEEJ) has said that it has put all necessary machineries in place to track the ongoing disbursement of the $322.5 million Abacha loot by the Federal Government to the “poorest of the poor” Nigerians.

Executive Director of ANEEJ, Reverend David Ugolor, spoke on Wednesday in Abuja during the closing of a three-day media workshop on Asset Recovery and Anti-corruption issues in Nigeria. The workshop was organised by ANEEJ with support from the Swiss Embassy in Nigeria.


Onnoghen: Shariah Council Backs Buhari

The  Supreme Council for Shariah in Nigeria,  (SCSN), Kaduna state has thrown its weight behind President Muhammad Buhari over the suspension of the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Walter Onnonghen on the alleged failed declaration of assets.

This was even as it called on the South-South governors and the Coalition of United Political Parties, (CUPP)  to exercise absolute restraint and let justice prevail on the matter.


APC House Of Reps Candidate Accuses PDP’s Flag Bearer Of Attacking Campaign Team

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates for Obokun /Oriade Federal Constituency, Dr Siji Olamiju, on Wednesday accused a member currently representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Wole Oke of sponsoring violent attack on members of his campaign team.

He alleged that Oke, who is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the constituency of allegedly masterminding an attack on his members and campaign vehicles at Ase-Ijesa in which two persons were seriously injured by hoodlums.


FG Committed To Boosting Youth Employment ― Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday stressed the Federal Government’s commitment to boosting employment for the youths in order to secure their future and that of the nation.

Osinbajo made the declaration in Idanre during a courtesy visit to the palace of the Owa of Idanre, Oba Frederick Aroloye, as part of the administration’s house-to-house campaign.


Atiku’s Visit Caused US Drop In TI’s Corruption Index Rating ― Keyamo

The Director of Strategic Communications, Buhari Campaign Organisation, Mr Festus Keyamo, has blamed the dropped of the United States on the current Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index on the recent visit of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PPD) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to the country.

Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), reacting to this development via his Twitter handle on Tuesday, said, it was the visa the US gave Atiku grating him a “special waiver” to visit the country that tainted the US causing a drop in its corruption image.
