Im sorry I tried to appeal to people who would have still called me “ashewo” regardless for simply having a car, going out late at night, dating to speak up, disobeying the rules they’ve set for us. I’m sorry I tried to appeal to a society who places us as second .
I’m sorry I tried to appeal to a society that saw you living your life as their business and within their rights to have an opinion on. I’m sorry i joined them to box and shame you . I’m sorry you ever had to feel less of a human being for having autonomy over your body
I’m sorry I joined them to dictate to you what you should do with your body, how to earn and how to live your life. I’m sorry.”
I’m sorry to every girl I ever slut-shamed growing up. All the sexually liberated women I thought were filthy, the sex workers I looked down on. I’m sorry I tried to prove I was morally better based on standards society set for us. A society that doesn’t care about you OR me.
