Nigerians Lambaste Buhari Over Comment on National Assembly Salary
President Muhammadu Buhari has been a talking point on Twitter again.
This time around, it is about a comment credited to him saying it is wrong to say that members of the National Assembly are being overpaid.
With the Salary and other allowances being paid to legislatures unknown, it was reported that each member earns up to N13.5m monthly.

But a former lawmaker, Shehu Sani had revealed that each senator earns N800, 000 as basic salary excluding other allowances.
There have been calls from several quarters about a reduction in the cost of governance. There was a time the former Imo governor, Rochas Okorocah who is now a serving senator suggested that each estate should have just one senator in other to reduce the cost of governance while some calls for a reduction in their salary.

Probably the story of how Buhari squandered Nigeria’s wealth will be heard when he leaves office .
Sometimes I get happy that Buhari actually became president because if he had not some people would have gone to his tomb after his death like a saint.
He is totally demystified https://t.co/ksJZUvy6Y3

You said you wanted a responsive leader who would defend Nigeria’s interests at home and abroad;
Then you voted for Buhari.
