Nigerians React As Singer Teni Ridicules Feminists
Nigerians have reacted after singer Teni made a post ridiculing feminists on Twitter.
It started when the ‘billionaire’ crooner made a post saying feminists are feminists until it’s time to propose to a man.
Apparently, the singer came across a situation where a woman was shamed for proposing to a man. In reaction to this, she wrote;
“Btw it’s not wrong for a woman to propose to her man!
“Y’all are feminists till it’s time to bend on one knee to ask a man to marry you! Aren’t we equal?”
Many have reacted to this. Some dragged her for her statement while others agreed with her.

No context in which this makes sense. I will have to believe you are having a melt down & lost yo damn mind for the minute it took to tweet this!

Teni stated her view on feminism , rather than have a constructive discuss , self glorified e-feminists are dissing her music & weight … defeating the true fight for equality . Goes a long way to show you don’t understand the rudiments of feminism, she has a right to a voice .

Equality says: no role should be gender exclusive, if a man can do it, then a lady should be able to do it.
Maybe Teni sounded like she was trying to ridicule the movement (I don’t think she was), her tweet remains valid.
Defying societal “norms” is part of what feminism is??♀️

Teni saw one example and decided to shit on a whole movement. I have seen hundreds of men who have said this. Hence, the statement. And saying Nigerian men does not mean every single one of y'all. It's a use of English that shows that if you're not among them, keep it moving.
