Nigerians React As Twitter User Says Adesua Etomi “Isn’t A Good Actor”
Adesua Etomi is currently on the top trend list on Naija Twitter following an argument sparked by a Twitter user who said she isn’t a “good actor.”
In a now deleted tweet; Jenna Okojie after she had finished seeing Sugar Rush insinuated that “colourism and favoritism may be responsible for her getting roles on a regular.”
According to Jenna, Adesua isn’t terrible but “I also don’t think she’s as good as we make it out to believe. There’s room for growth and as a fan, I’m ready to see her break boundaries.”
Although she has now deleted the tweets, it didn’t stop people from arguing on Twitter over it.

This Adesua talk is really pissing me off. Granted, Sugar Rush was a bad movie. But did Adesua’s acting have anything to do with the quality of this film? Hell no!

Truth is if you watch old Nollywood, it's quite obvious that the actors from those days are leagues ahead of these new ones.

Also, I think she delivers her roles perfectly. The main problem here is the lack of diversity in stories being told and produced. MOST Nollywood storylines are not solid enough to actually show the ranges of these actors, men and women included. It’s not an Adesua thing.
