Hours after Beyonce dropped her album, Lion King:The Gift, social media has been raving about it. Everyone is excited about the album and have positive things about the songs and the featured artists.
The African artists featured include Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Shatta Wale, Tekno, Yemi Alade and Mr. Eazi.
Burna Boy’s song ‘Ja are e‘ is the only solo song on the album, all others featured Beyonce.

Speaking on why she featured African artists, Beyonce said, “I wanted to put everyone on their own journey to link the storyline. Each song was written to reflect the film’s storytelling that gives the listener a chance to imagine their own imagery while listening to a new contemporary interpretation.
“It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me.”
