A video surfaced on social media showing Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazak of Kwara State with his backpack, queuing for a commercial flight like everyone else.
This is unlike dignitaries and politicians in Nigeria who are often escorted by guards and convoy.
This act has been referred to as humbleness and simplicity by several Nigerians. Many have praised him for queuing when he could have used his power to get his to seat before anyone else.
Meanwhile, while many found this act praiseworthy, some see it as something normal that people aren’t supposed to be praised for.
“Nigeria has become so bad, we get praised for doing normal thing,” a Instagram user commented.
