Nollywood Actress Ebele Okaro Turns 55

As we celebrate the birthday of veteran Nollywood actress, Ebele Okaro, 19th of January, we take a sneak peek into her archives taking a look at her biography, career and personal life.

The veteran actress couldn’t hide her joy as she took to Instagram to share photos of her humble beginnings and thank God for where he has brought her.

She also made a point to thank all her friends and followers who’ve been there through the years including Ekpenyong Bassey Inyang, a Nollywood actor.

Here’s what Ebele Okaro had to say to her friends, family and colleagues:

“I am dancing because I am happy…all the prayers, blessings, gifts, love, encouragement, kind words, appreciation…..I can never name it all.. I just want today thank you to my family friends, fans, associates, executive producers etc.”

The 55 year old was born on the 19th of January in London, UK and was raised in the Nsukka, Enugu State. She was born to a full time television producer for a mother and her dad was an engineer.

The actress cum producer, entrepreneur and philanthropist was born into a family of six. She later went on to attend Maria Primary school before later proceeding to Queen of the Holy Rosary Secondary School where she obtained her WASSCE.

It was in these schools that she discovered her flair for acting. The screen diva participated in several plays and dramas.

She started featuring on TV screens when she took up show roles for the Nigerian Television Authority during her one year mandatory National Youth Service Corps.

Since then, the movie producer has featured in over 200 movies, some of which are: Musical Whispers, 4-1 Love, Road to Yesterday, Hostages, Third Eye among others.

Mama Nollywood as she is popularly called has won several awards including Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress in the movie 4-1 Love.
