Okowa congratulates Delta new Speaker and Deputy

– Delta State Gov., Ifeanyi Okowa has congratulated Oborevwori and Ochor as the new Speaker and Deputy respectively

– He noted that the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker will bring their experience to bear in the discharge of their duties in the state

– Gov. Okowa also urged members of the House to combine their extensive knowledge and understanding of law making to the service of the state

A latest update as made it known that Delta State 7th House of Assembly voted for their new Speaker and Deputy Speaker today.

The report hinted that Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, who hails from Okpe Constituency emerged as Speaker of the Delta State 7th Assembly while Rt. Hon. Ochor Christopher Ochor from Okwuani Constituency was elected as Deputy Speaker of the Delta State 7th Assembly.

The Delta State Gov., Ifeanyi Okowa has sent his congratulations to the two leaders.

Gov. Okowa in his statement said, “On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I congratulate Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and Hon. Ochor Christopher Ochor on their election as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the 7th Delta State House of Assembly.”

The Governor during his statement in the State Capital, Asaba on Monday applauded members of the 7th Assembly for their choice in voting for Sheriff Oborevwori and Ochor Christopher Ochor as Presiding Officers of the 7th Assembly.

Gov. Okowa stressed that the duo of Sheriff Oborevwori and Ochor Christopher Ochor will bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties in the state.

The Governor in his statement as well congratulated other members of the House of Assembly for their victory at the 2019 General Election.

He, however, urged them to combine their extensive knowledge and understanding of law making to the service and development of the state.
