Nollywood actress and sexy diva, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde among other top four Nigerian celebrity starts are among artistes to determine winners of the Oscar 2019 awards come 24th February, 2019.
The other stars include: Wunmi Mosaku, Ngozi Onwurah and Femi Odugbemi are among a selected few of 928 artistes and executives that have made sure of distinguishing themselves having being major contributors to movies and films that have at some time been nominated for the Academy awards.
Meanwhile, iDONSABI.com had sometime in the recent past reported that Favourite topped the list of nominations having been nominated alongside Roma – a record 10 times – for the Oscar 2019 Awards. The Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, US on the 24th of February and Omotola must be a top-top actress to have earned herself a seat on that floor.
That said, this isn’t the first time Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde will be invited for the awards having been invited to join the Academy under the Actor category for her roles in Nollywood movies, ‘A Private Storm’ and ‘Last Flight to Abuja’.
Wunmi Mosaku isn’t a new comer to the Academy either having achieved unparalleled success compared to several African actors at this time. The Nigerian-born British actress was a recipient of the Best Supporting Actress awards at the 2017 BAFTA Awards for her roles in ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ and ‘Batman vs Superman’.
Femi Odugbemi is the director of the popular series, ‘Tinsel’ and ‘Battleground’ and was invited to the Academy under the documentary category.
Ngozi Onwurah is a British-Nigerian film director and producer invited to the Academy under the ‘Short Film and Feature Animation’ category for her two films ‘The Body Beautiful’ and ‘Hang Time’.
