Ondo 2020: ‘I Remain A PDP Member’, Agboola Ajayi Reacts After Losing Primary Poll to Jegede
Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi has said he remains a bonafide member of the People Democratic Party (PDP).
His reaction is following the emergence of Jide Jegede as the flagbearer of PDP heads of the October 10 election.
There has been speculation that Agboola who has the ambition of getting the number one seas may jump ship to another party, but he has quickly quashed the rumours, saying he is staying to work with the party ahead of the poll.

He took to his Twitter page and wrote: “PDP remains our party.”

According to a statement title “We Fought A Good Fight”, he thanks the People of the state and all those that voted for him.

“Following the outcome of the Primary election of our party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), held on 22nd July,2020, where Eyitayo Jegede SAN, was elected winner, we wish to thank the good people of Ondo State for standing with us in the struggle to
liberate our State.
“The people have spoken, and we accept the outcome in good faith, knowing fully well that it was a race against different forces.
“We remain undaunted and resolute about our commitment to a people-oriented government against personalized democracy.”

With the ticket lost to Jegede, Agboola says life goes on.
