The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has appealed to the EndSARS protesters to stop the protest since the federal government has already accepted issues raised.
The National Assembly leader stated this shortly after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari to address the issue.
Lawan, who was speaking to the Aso Rock correspondents alongside Speaker of the House of Reps, Femi Gbajabiamila said it will take time for the government to implement issues raised.
“Since the issues [raised by the protesters] have been accepted [by the government] the time has come for the protests to stop, the government needs to have time to implement the demands of the protesters.”
Corroborating Lawan, Gbajabiamilaalso appealed to Nigerian youth to end the protests across the country as the government heard and accepted their genuine demands and working to address all of them.
More to come.
