‘Pogba Back In Training Next Week’ – Solskjaer

Manchester United gaffer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that French midfielder, Paul Pogba will be back in training next week.

The World Cup winner has missed the majority of the campaign but seems like he could be making a sensational return in weeks to come.

The former Juventus man will be welcomed back into the fold after a quick recovery from an ankle injury.

Pogba is yet to feature for United since coming off the bench as a substitute in United’s home 4-1 victory over Newcastle United on December 26 as he underwent a surgery on the recurring injury in January.

The midfielder has only featured for the Red devils in eight games across all competitions, with his last start in a red shirt coming in September against Arsenal.

Transfer rumours have continuously circles about the player with Juventus and Real Madrid relentless in their pursuit of a player who has only 18 months left on his contract.

It has been suggested in the media that Pogba might no longer be part of the plans at United but Solskjaer insists he is expecting him back on the turf just in time for the business end of the campaign to get underway.

In a press conference on Wednesday, the Norwegian boss said:  “Paul’s still working with the physios outside. He won’t be training with the first-team until next week, so then let’s see how long that will take. But he’ll need some time to train, to get his… call it football fitness back.”

The former United player also said the Red devils would most likely be without Aaron Wan Bissaka and Daniel James in their FA Cup fifth round encounter with Derby County.

“[Daniel James] he’ll probably miss out on this one as well, Marcus [Rashford] and Paul are still out and I think Aaron might be struggling. He’s got a test today but he struggled in our last game against Everton with his back, so he might be out.”
