Police Arrests Naira Marley Over Abuja Concert
Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, has reportedly been arrested by the Lagos state police command for flouting movement restrictions to have a concert in Abuja about 2 months ago.

Police spokesperson Bala Elkana revealed that the singer was arrested over the concert. He had flouted the safety guidelines put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
He said, “We are in court as we speak. He will be arraigned for violating the interstate travel order. That is the aspect that concerns Lagos State.”
On June 12, Naira Marley and ex BBNaija housemate, Kim Oprah took a flight to Abuja through Executive Jet Services, for a concert in Jabi Lake Mall amidst the lockdown.
Executive Jet was suspended after the incident and Jabi Lake Mall released a statement saying they didn’t authorize the event.
