Police Officer Allegedly Shoots 18-year-old Boy Dead For Retaliating After He Slapped Him
A police officer in Umuaka, Imo state, allegedly shot dead an 18-year-old boy for retaliating after being slapped.
Awuzie Duru, 18, was allegedly killed by a police officer within the premises of a new generation bank branch at Umuaka on Sunday, December 1, 2019.
It was gathered that Awuzie was on the queue to withdraw money from the ATM gallery when he stepped aside to briefly receive a call.
By the time he returned, he wasn’t allowed on the queue again by the person behind him and this led to a verbal exchange. However, the police man who was present at that moment refused to interfere until the fight turned physical.
The police man scolded the young boy and at a point reportedly slapped him. The boy returned the slap and the officer allegedly shot him dead.
