A new report has confirmed that President Muhammdu Buhari has touched down at the presidential wing of the Muritala Mohammed International Airport aboard the Nigerian Air Force Boeing aircraft with registration number 5N-FGT in Lagos State for his one day official visit.
According to the report, the president arrived in Lagos around 10:32 am amid tight security.
The report made it known that the President upon his arrival was received by the All Progressive Congress APC Governors in the South West which include the host cum Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, and Lagos State Governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy Obafemi Hamzat, amongst others.
President Muhammadu Buhari was also welcomed with a dance by cultural troupe and a Presidential Guard of Honour.
Pres. Muhammadu Buhari is expected to inaugurate some projects embarked upon by the Lagos State Government today which include the new Ayinke House, the Oshodi Transport Interchange, Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road and the 820 medium/high capacity Transport Buses.
The Lagos state Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, who happens to be the host stated that the projects his administration embarked upon “are part of our modest contributions to the development of our country.”
Pres. Muhammadu Buhari commissioned the new Ayinke House, which according to reports boasts of state-of-the-art equipment which include 30 incubators with automatic oxygen delivery capacity, neonatal life support, five operating theatres and oxygen plants.
The President will also commission the Lagos Theater at Oregun before alongside other projects before heading back to the Federal Capital Territory.
