– The President in his statement stated that the culprits behind the attack must be brought to book
Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari via a statement released by his aide, Garba Shehu today has expressed shock and sadness over the terrible attack that took place in Sri Lanka during the Easter celebration today.
The attack in Sri Lanka which happened on Easter Celebration was directed towards churches and hotels with many people losing their lives and several others injured.
In a statement released by Garba Shehu via his Twitter handle, the Nigerian President sent his condolences to the families of those that lost their lives in the attacks as well as those who were injured.
Garba Shehu wrote, “President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed shock and sadness over the terrible attacks on several churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on the holy day of Easter.
On behalf of the government and people of Nigeria, the President extends deepest condolences to the families of those killed in the attacks and wishes speedy recovery to the injured,” he added.

According to the statement released by Garba Shehu, Pres. Buhari also called on the Sri Lankan Government to do everything possible to ensure that the culprits behind the attack are brought to book and should face the wrath of the law.
