Rapper Hurricane Chris Arrested for Murder in Louisiana
Hurricane Chris has been arrested for second-degree murder.
TMZ reported that the 31-year-old rapper, real name Christopher Dooley Jr., was arrested on Friday morning.
The Louisiana rapper allegedly shot and killed a man on Friday at around 1 a.m. local time, initially telling police that he shot the unnamed man multiple times in self-defense following an alleged struggle over his car. Cops claimed surveillance footage showed otherwise.
The victim that was shot suffered multiple gunshot wounds and later died at the hospital. Authorities have also alleged that the car Chris was driving was stolen in Texas.
As of right now, it’s not clear if there was a motive behind the shooting or what exactly the surveillance footage from the gas station showed that would indicate he “did not act in self-defense.”
