Rashford And Maguire Speak Against Racial Abuse On Pogba

The duo of Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire have thrown their arms around Paul Pogba after the Frenchman became a subject of numerous social media attacks following his penalty miss in United’s game against Wolves at Molineux.

Paul Pogba who has been at the centre of criticisms flung in the way of the Red devils in recent times saw even more attacks, this time, racial abuses following that penalty miss.

Manchester United have moved to condemn those behind such comments and vowed to take action against individuals responsible for such actions.

A statement released by the club regarding the attacks read:

“Everyone at Manchester United is disgusted by the racial abuse aimed at Paul Pogba last night and we utterly condemn it.

“The individuals who expressed these views do not represent the values of our great club and it is encouraging to see the vast majority of our fans condemn this on social media also.

“Manchester United has zero tolerance of any form of racism or discrimination and a long-standing commitment to campaigning against it through our #AllRedAllEqual initiative.

“We will work to identify the few involved in these incidents and take the strongest course of action available to us. We also encourage social media companies to take action in these cases.”

Marcus Rashford also took to his Twitter account in a show of support to Pogba pointing out that such attacks are considered to be an attack on the United family as a whole.

He wrote: “Manchester United is a family. Paul Pogba is a huge part of that family. You attack him you attack us all…”

World record defender signing, Harry Maguire also spoke up in a bid to bring an end to the racist abuse on Frenchman, Paul Pogba.

“Disgusting. Social media need to do something about it…

“Every account that is opened should be verified by a passport/driving licence. Stop these pathetic trolls making numerous accounts to abuse people.”
