Real Madrid Denies Pochettino Training Ground Facilities Claims Ahead Of UCL Final
Real Madrid have accused Spurs gaffer, Mauricio Pochettino of lying over claims that the Lilywhites were refused accomodation at Real Madrid’s training ground ahead of the Champions League final to be held at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Both Liverpool and Tottenham will use the Los Blancos Valdebebas training complex ahead of the final in Madrid.
Pochettino while speaking on Thursday said he had asked whether they could use Real’s a accomodation but were refused.
“Ahead of the final, we will train at Valdebebas and sleep in a nearby hotel.
“I asked Florentino to let us sleep in the sports centre, but he told me that I can only sleep there when I become the coach of Real Madrid.”
That definitely didn’t go down with Real and the Spanish giants have come out with a string response for the Argentine gaffer.

Denying the claims to Poch’s claims, the club insisted that all requests received towards the buildup of the Champions League final have been accepted.
“Real Madrid CF wants to make it clear that it is outright false that this request was produced. Our club has always shown its absolute availability to meet all the requests made by UEFA, the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Club Atlético de Madrid, Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur.
“All requests submitted to Real Madrid have referred only and exclusively to the use of the training camps of the Ciudad Real Madrid and its changing rooms. And all of them have been granted by our club.”
The statement also read that Liverpool planned to use the club’s facilities in the morning of Saturdsy, June 1 while Tottenham will do so on Thursday and Friday, May 30 and May 31 respectively.
Pochettino has previously been linked with the job at Madrid but with a return of Zinedine Zidane, it is highly unlikely that the Argentine finds himself at the Santiago Bernabeu.
