Ryan Giggs Replies Ibrahimovic Dig At Manchester United And Its Class Of 92
Manchester United legendary midfielder, Ryan Giggs has replied Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s criticism of the Class of 92 who the Swede had criticized for their loyalty to former, most successful and longest-serving manager at Old Trafford, Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ibrahimovic in an interview had pointed out that the problems at Manchester United existed because the club had failed to move on from the time of Sir Alex Ferguson and former players who want jobs at the club.
Before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer came in to steady the wheel and ship at Manchester United, the club had experienced a lot of turmoils after the retirement of Sir Alex with David Moyes and Van Gaal.
Under the reins of Jose Mourinho, it looked like the club was back on its feet with an Europa League win and second-placed finish on the Premier league log only for it to come crashing once again, necessitating the Portuguese sack and employment of Ole Gunnar as caretaker manager.

Zlatan said that the criticisms of Paul Scholes and other members of the Class of 92 didn’t help the rein of Jose Mourinho at the club. Recall that the Swede was brought into Old Trafford by Mourinho.
Zlatan also pointed that members of that class always lashed out at Pogba because he left Old Trafford when he was still young, something they never dared doing under the stead of Ferguson because of their loyalty to him.
Giggs in response to Ibrahimovic’s dig at the club said:
“Only Nicky (Butt) is connected with the club now but when you play over 2,000 games between us, we are going to have an opinion,” said Wales manager Giggs, who made a record 963 appearances for United between 1991 and 2014.
“Sometimes it’s positive, sometimes negative, but it doesn’t have an effect on results.
“We are supporters. That’s what football is about, having different opinions.
“But he (Ibrahimovic) obviously knows more about the club than us.”
Ryan Giggs and his former class of 92 teammates – David Beckham, Butt, Neville, Scholes played a combined total of 3,450 games during the most successful period in the club’s history.
