Salah Spearheads Routing Of Porto At Dragao Stadium

Liverpool produced a scintillating display through the fantastic play of rampaging Mohammed Salah to record a 4-2 victory over Porto at the Dragao Stadium in the second leg of their quarter finals tie.

Salah scored one and set up another to topple over Porto and tee up a semi-final clash with Barcelona.

Liverpool soaked up the pressure as the Portuguese giants pulled off adventurous attacking stunts with Jesus Corona curling a beautiful shot over the cross bar in the opening minutes.

During the first twenty minutes, Liverpool seemed toothless and lacked the venom to sting Porto not until their time came in the 26th minute.

Sadio Mane latched onto a cross from Egyptian maestro, Salah to score from close range. It seemed to be from an offside position initially but after a two minute review, the goal was given.

Faced with the humongous task of scoring four goals to qualify, Porto looked stunned despite having attempted 15 shots in the first forty-five minutes.

Salah then got the second for the Reds after slotting the ball coolly past Casillas after receiving a diagonal pass from right-back Trent Alexander Arnold.

Militao did get a consolation goal in the 69th minute after beating Firmino to a header and heading home the ball.

Firmino who had only come on a substitute got the third for the Reds with only 13 minutes left on the clock to play before Van Dijk headed home a devastating fourth from a corner kick ibn the 82nd minute.

Porto were gutted once more and this time by a three goal difference in front of their home fans. Nothing could be more disturbing for the Portuguese giants than to be knocked out in such humiliating fashion by the Reds who also took them out of Champions League running last time out.
