Saraki to Muslims – We must not relent in Discipline Restraint and good Neighbourliness

– Senate Pres. Bukola Saraki has joined Muslim faithful in the celebration of Eid el Fitr

– He urged them not to relent in displaying discipline, restraint and good neighborliness

As Nigerian Muslim faithful joined the rest of the world in the celebration of Eid el Fitr after the long days of Ramadan, Senate Pres. Bukola Saraki has joined in the celebration by sending a goodwill message to Muslims.

Senate President Bukola Saraki in his statement congratulated Muslim faithful in Nigeria and all over the world following the successful observance of the fasting period during Ramadan.

Bukola Saraki added that as the celebration takes place today following a declaration by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, he urged Muslim faithful not to relent in displaying discipline, restraint and good neighbourliness, all of which they they observed during the holy month of Ramadan.

He also called on them to remember Nigeria in their prayers especially for the unity and peaceful coexistence of Nigerians.

Bukola Saraki in the statement released via his Twitter handle wrote, “I congratulate Muslim faithful across the nation and the world on our celebration of #EidElFitr — after the successful observance of the fasting period during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

As we celebrate today, we must not relent in displaying the discipline, restraint and good neighborliness that we observed during the fasting period. We also must not relent in our prayers for the unity of our nation and the peaceful coexistence of all Nigerians. #EidMubarak.”

In another report, it was disclosed that the inauguration for the 9th Assembly has been fixed for Tuesday 11th of June and it will actually mark the beginning of a new era of the National Assembly without Senator Bukola Saraki as the Senate President.
