Sarri Leaves Chelsea For Juventus

Chelsea have now confirmed the departure of Maurizio Sarri for Juventus with the 60 year old penning a three-year-deal with the Italian giants.

The 60 year old will be replacing Massimiliano Allegri after leading the Blues to a Europa league title, third place log finish and runners-up in the EFL Cup in only his first season at the Stamford Bridge.

In spite of these achievements, the Italian gaffer has failed to win over the hearts of Chelsea supporters and will now be moving to Turin, just one year after leaving Napoli.

Chelsea confirmed the deal via an official statement which read:

“The two clubs have reached an agreement for the early termination of Sarri’s contract with Chelsea FC which had two years left to run and is ending at his request.”

Marina Granovskaia, Chelsea director said Sarri after the Europa League finals made his intentions of leaving for Italy stating that his reasons were highly significant. He stressed that he needed to stay close to his family and his parents who he felt needed him close at their ripe ages.

Granovskaia added: “Maurizio leaves Chelsea with thanks from us all for the work he and his assistants did during the season he spent as our head coach, and for winning the Europa League, guiding us to another cup final and a third-place finish in the Premier League.

“We would also like to congratulate him on securing the role as big as any in Serie A and to wish him the best of luck for the future.”

Sarri during his managerial career has also coached Perugia, Empoli and Napoli before making a switch to Chelsea last summer.

Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard is touted as the Italian’s replacement after leading Derby to the Championship play-off final against Aston Villa.

If the English man comes in, he would be Roman Abramovich’s third signing in only three years.
