See Buhari’s Reply to ‘Baba Go Slow’ Critics in Dubai

President Muhammadu Buhari has said he will remain slow and steadfast, not minding being called “Baba go slow” as some critics have called him.

He stated that this on Tuesday held an interactive session with members of the Nigerian Community in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) while responding to a question about the pace of anti-corruption war.

This was after he had held a bilateral meeting with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi His Highness, Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, UAE in the presence of his team members to the country which includes Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State and other colleagues.

‘‘Whoever calls me Baba-go-slow, I’m very conscious of historical antecedents. You know what happened to me the last time… people [now] have to be proven guilty before they are locked up’’, he said.

Speaking on the 2019 APC presidential campaign and the outcome of the polls, the President said he was very impressed by the turn out of every state to see and hear him.

“The crowd is more than what you can buy or force to come. Nigerians voluntarily came out.’’

President Buhari lauds the ingenuity of Nigerian in Dubai saying: “We have here a gathering of Nigerian Professionals – academics, medical personnel, businesspersons, etc, based in the UAE. Among them is Professor Mutairu Ezimokhai, Provost of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU).”

Professor Ezimokhai has been in Dubai for 29 years.
